On August 9, 2025, LOKA Japanese Foods & Beverage proudly hosted the Premium Japanese Sake Tasting – Nabeshima –, showcasing six distinguished labels from Nabeshima, one of Japan’s most celebrated premium sake brands, at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE inside AEON Phnom Penh Mall. The event aimed to increase brand awareness, deepen knowledge of Japanese sake, support sales expansion, and conduct test marketing.
Guests had the opportunity to experience a curated selection of Nabeshima sakes, including the best-selling Daiginjo, as well as unique varieties such as Aiyama and Akaiwa Omachi, each offering its own distinctive flavor profile. To complement the tasting, light dishes and desserts from the TSUTAYA café were served as suggested pairings, enhancing the appreciation of each sake’s character.
During the tasting session, our presenter shared insights into Nabeshima’s brewery history, the traditional brewing process, detailed tasting notes, and pairing recommendations. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the artistry and craftsmanship behind premium Japanese sake, with many noting, “I discovered something new” and “The pairing suggestions were very helpful.”
