With the rise in income levels in recent years, high-quality Japanese products have come to Cambodia. This time, a tasting event for sake was held. We also participated in this event among more than 100 special guests as part of the sake provider. The event was organized by the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia and introduced sake from more than 20 different regions of Japan.
In addition to introducing Japanese culture and cuisine, the purpose of participating in this event was to obtain new discoveries about sake. Sake is becoming more and more popular in this country, and we have been able to feel more attractive by listening to tastings and stories.
Over the last few years, Cambodia has experienced economic growth and rising incomes have increased demand for high quality products. Therefore, sake, known for its high quality and advanced craftsmanship, is rated as a product as a high demand.
Participants received a high reputation for the quality of sake provided and the abundance of variety. Many people said they wanted to learn more about Japanese culture and cuisine and would like to try more Japanese products in the future.
The tasting fair of sake was a great success throughout. We enjoyed the Japanese culture and food for the people of Cambodia, and we were able to introduce many of the high quality products available from Japan. As Cambodia’s income continues to rise, demand for premium products like sake will increase further.
